 and I am the Silly Mallard. 

I am a journalist turned veterinary assistant. I am passionate about taking care of animals. I try to spread awareness for Endometriosis though writing.

About Me: 

I'm the small package that good things come in.  
I love animals, bubble baths, and adventures.

Before graduating from technical school as a journalist, I studied English and history at the University of Calgary. Because I have such a love for animals, I used to work as a kennel technician. I earned my title as the "Pet Store Girl" from my job history in pet shops. Educating people about animals and pet nutrition is something I genuinely enjoy. Caring for animals is my passion, and I am currently employed as a veterinary assistant at a 24 hour emergency animal hospital.

The Silly Mallard:

My idea of a good time is sitting on a riverbed with a duck call and some crackers. I love ducks, I really, really, love ducks (especially mallard ducks). I think they're so cute. My boyfriend always calls me a "silly goose" but really, I'd rather be called a silly mallard... but nobody will ever say that.

My Animals:

All lives are valuable and precious. My animals are so important to me- I really couldn't imagine life without them.  My horse, Scooter, is the love of my life. He is a huge part of my heart and soul, and he truly is my best friend. I love all animals and I am always open to adopting more critters into my family.
