Day Nine:
The hardest part about nights is:
Something that many chronic illness sufferers agree on is that their pain is at its worst at the end of the day. I concur. It's like every step I've taken, every time my cat has jumped onto my pelvis, every single thing just takes it's toll and my body expresses it through pain. Oddly enough, evenings are my favorite part of the day. After I have all my work done, I get to take my Tylenol 4 and relax. My wonderful boyfriend and I have been playing through the Zelda games (we finished Skyward Sword and we are now on the Twilight Princess). This kind of relaxation and video game immersion is therapeutic to me. I let my drugs do their thing, and for a couple hours, I am free from my body and I am immersed in the world of Zelda. So nerdy. But oh-so-good.
I find another very difficult part about nights is actually getting a good night's sleep. It is very difficult to get a good sleep when I'm in pain. Falling asleep is hard, and staying asleep is harder. I am not a still sleeper, and I normally toss and turn. I often wake up when I want to roll over because my pain is nagging. Nighttime Advil, I realized, is my saving grace.
Have any other Zelda fans seen the trailer for the new game? ITS OPEN WORLD. #Nerdgasm
